Finding the right fit is easy when you know how.
At BeltUp, we want your belt to sit perfectly from day one — not too tight, not too loose, and always comfortable.
Quick Answer: What Belt Size Do I Need?
Your belt size is usually the measurement from the buckle to the hole you wear most often. If you're using your pant size as a guide, adding 2 inches is a useful estimate — but measuring your waist or an existing belt will give you a more accurate fit.
How to Find Your Belt Size
There are three simple ways to measure for your perfect BeltUp fit:
1. Measure Your Waist — Best Option
Use a dressmaker's tape around your waist or hips where you normally wear your belt.
The number you measure in inches is your belt size.
Example: A 36" waist = 36" belt.
2. Measure Your Existing Belt — Next Best Option
Measure a belt that already fits you well from the point where the buckle meets the leather to the hole you use most often.
That measurement in inches is your correct belt size.
3. Use Your Pant Size + 2 Inches — Good Estimate
If you're unable to measure, take your usual pant size and add 2 inches.
Example: Pant size 34" = belt size 36".
Because clothing sizes can vary between brands, this method is best used as a guide. Measuring your waist or an existing belt will give you the most accurate fit.

Why Are Belt Sizes Measured in Inches in Australia?
Although Australia uses the metric system, belts are still commonly sized in inches. This is the traditional sizing standard used throughout the leather and clothing industries and makes it easier to compare belt sizes across different brands and styles.
BeltUp belts are sized in inches, with centimetre conversions provided in our chart for easy reference.
