Finding the right fit is easy when you know how.
At BeltUp, we want your belt to sit perfectly from day one — not too tight, not too loose, and always comfortable.
How to Find Your Belt Size
There are three simple ways to measure for your perfect BeltUp fit:
1. Measure Your Waist (Best Option)
Use a dressmaker’s tape around your waist or hips where you normally wear your belt.
➡️ The number you get (in inches) is your belt size.
Example: A 36" waist = 36" belt.
2. Measure Your Existing Belt (Next Best Option)
Measure from the base of the buckle to the hole you use most often.
➡️ That measurement (in inches) is your correct belt size.
3. Pant Size + 2" Rule (Good Estimate)
If you’re unsure, take your pant size and add 2 inches.
Example: Pant size 34" = Belt size 36".

Sizing for Everyone
Men’s Belts — We recommend measuring the waist directly.
Women’s Belts — Often styled higher on the waist or over dresses, so measure where you plan to wear it.
Children’s Belts — We recommend going up a size if your child is going through growth spurts.
A Note on Measurement Standards
In Australia, we still use inches for belt sizing because it’s the most consistent and universally understood standard in the leather trade.
Care Tip
Hang your belt flat or loop it over a hanger — avoid tightly rolling it.
Use a quality leather conditioner or beeswax a few times a year (or as needed) to keep it supple and protected. learn more here
